New "Ask Dave" Feature
I was wondering if there were any plans for video streaming of Colgate athletic events?
The Colgate athletic department is currently working on a plan to bring video streaming to its fans during the 2006-07 season. Right now, we will video stream all six of Colgate’s home football games, and it is our full intention to include other sports in the subscription package including men’s ice hockey. We should have a better handle on what games will be made available by mid-August, and will announce the details on our website.
Is there a reason why Colgate is not a partner with CSTV?
Last year, Colgate looked into several different website providers, including CSTV, to help in the design and maintenance of our new athletic site. After an extensive search, Colgate decided to go with Internet Consulting Services in Syracuse, New York. We felt they provided us with the best option for the services that we desired. We have been very delighted with our relationship with ICS, who will help us with video streaming this coming season.
Would Colgate consider bringing high school bands to the Colgate campus for home football games?
Vicky Chun, assistant athletic director, has been working on this and is putting together a program for this season with some of the area high school marching bands. We are always trying to upgrade the atmosphere at our events and work with the local communities. " |
