HAMILTON, N.Y. Its a three-peat for Colgates Kendall Chones, who becomes the first player to win the Patriot League Freshman of the Week award three times this season in mens basketball and he did it in consecutive weeks.
Starting for injured senior Howard Blue, Chones hit 14-of-21 shots on the way to 31 points and added 13 rebounds in two games last week. He also extended his streak of double-digit scoring performances to seven straight games. He drained 8-of-13 shots in equaling his season-high total of 19 points against Holy Cross. Saturday vs. Army, he was 6-for-8 from the field for 12 points and missed a double-double by one board.
