Linebaugh fifth player in school history to earn all-league honors twice.
HAMILTON, N.Y. Colgate senior guard Mark Linebaugh was selected second team on the 2004 All-Patriot League squad announced Wednesday in a vote of the leagues coaches. Freshman Kendall Chones was named to the all-rookie team.
Linebaugh, who was second team last year, is the fifth Colgate player in school history to be selected twice during his career to the PL all-league team. He joins Tucker Neale, Adonal Foyle, Pat Campolieta and Seth Schaeffer.
Linebaugh finished the regular season as the seventh leading scorer in the Patriot League with 12.9 points per game. He is the 9th leading scorer in school history with 1,367 points and ranks ninth in career steals (137), third in 3-point field goals made (170) and fifth in career assists (252).
Chones selection to the all-rookie team gives Colgate a pick in each of the last four seasons. He joins Howard Blue, Mark Linebaugh, Keith Williams and Alvin Reed.
Chones has played in all 27 games for the Raiders with 10 starting assignments. He was named Patriot League Rookie of the Week three times, while averaging 7.7 points per game and 4.9 rebounds per outing.
