Senior David Ake won the Individual Title at the ECAC Championships
EGG HARBOR CITY, N.J. (10/12/09) -   This past weekend, the Colgate Men’s golf team continued its fall season tied for third place with Monmouth University at the ECAC Championship in Egg Harbor City, New Jersey. Both teams had a two-day score of 630, with the Raiders shooting a day one total of 320 and a 310 on day two. 
Nine teams participated in the ECAC Championships: Brown, Colgate, Fairfield, Fairleigh Dickinson, Fordham, Hofstra, Monmouth, St. Peter’s and Wagner. Fordham won the Championship with a score of 623 and Fairleigh Dickinson finished in second place with a score of 625. 
Senior David Ake (Topsfield, Mass.) not only led the Raiders but also won the Individual Championship finishing in first place with a score of 150 (74-76).   
Freshman Will Delano (New Canaan, CT.) finished tied for seventh place with Brown’s John Giannuzzi, after shooting a 155 (80-75). Sophomore Ben Jessen (West Simsbury, Conn.) finished in 21st place with a score of 163 (83-80), while his classmate Chase Williams (Columbus, Ohio) and senior Nick Parry (Washington D.C.) finished tied for 30th (87-79—166) and 32nd (83-84—167) places, respectively.
The Raiders return to action on October 17th and October 18th at Lehigh University.
