ALBANY, N.Y. (10/17/2009)—Sophomore
Elise DeRoo led the Colgate University women's cross-country team to fifth-place, Saturday at the Albany Invitational.
DeRoo brought home the individual title with a personal-best and school-record time of 17:28.7. This is DeRoo’s second individual title of the season.
Middlebury won the meet placing four harriers in the top-25 for a low score of 88 points, while the Raiders finished fifth overall with 143 points out of a field of 24.
Junior
Julie Tarallo finished second on the team with a time of 18:22.4, while sophomore
Kelly Cattano, senior
Emily Oliver, and junior
Stacey Marion rounded out the Raiders with times of 18:43.7, 18:47.2 and 18:50.2, respectively.
Colgate hits the course again on Oct. 31, as it hosts the Patriot League Championship, the meet is set to begin at 11 a.m.
