HAMILTON, N.Y. (12/17/09)—The Colgate University men’s lacrosse team has been ranked in the top-25 of the Inside Lacrosse Face-Off Yearbook. The Raiders enter the preseason preview in the 21st spot after closing out the 2009 season 9-6.
Two-time defending national champion Syracuse was dubbed the top team in the nation, according to the poll, while Navy headlined the Patriot League with the 10th spot.
Colgate welcomes back two All-Patriot League selections from a year ago in senior
Mike Crown (Winnetka, Ill.) and junior
Greg Perkins (Alexandria, Va.), who were both selected to the second team. The Raiders also welcome back senior
Ryan McClelland (Brampton, Ont.), who was one of 30 players selected to the Team Canada roster.
The Raiders kick off the 2010 season on Feb. 20, at Binghamton. The game is slated to begin at noon.
