CENTER VALLEY, Pa. (4/28/09) - The Colgate University women’s rowing team placed one member from their varsity eight boat on this year’s All-Patriot League team it was announced by the league office on Tuesday, April 28.
Senior Meredith Remmer (Oakdale, N.Y.), the stroke of the eight boat, earned her second career honor as an all-league selection. Remmer was first selected to the All-Patriot League last year as a junior.
The 2009 All-Patriot League Team is made up of eleven student-athletes, all of whom competed in the varsity eight race at the 2009 Patriot League Championship on Sunday, April, 26. The All-League team is based on the team’s finish in the varsity eight race at the Championship. The Raiders’ fourth place finish, with a time of 7:10.04, allowed them one placement on the team. Bucknell, the top finisher, placed three rowers and a coxswain on the team.
Colgate will compete at the ECAC Metro Championship on Sunday, May 1, on the Cooper River in Camden, N.J.
