HAMILTON, N.Y. (5/19/09) —Colgate University senior captains Brandon Corp (Chittenango, N.Y.), Kevin Colleluori (Bethpage, N.Y.), and Andrew Watkins (Timonium, Md.) were selected to play in the annual United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association North/South Senior All-Star Game. They will play in the game on May 22, at Harvard Stadium at 4 p.m.
Corp, Colleluori and Watkins are the 41st, 42nd and 43rd Colgate players to be selected to play in North/South Classic. It marks the third straight year the Raiders have had at least two players picked to participate and the fourth time since 2000.
Corp graduates as the only Raider in school history to be named the Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year for three straight seasons. A three time all-Patriot League selection, he is also the first Raider to be named a nominee for the Tewaraaton Trophy, which honors the top lacrosse player in the United States. He posted a personal-best 63 points this season, finishing with 35 goals and 28 assists to finish third in the nation in scoring averaging 4.20 points per game. Corp closed out his career with 194 points off 127 goals and 64 assists, both his points and goals rank second all-time in Colgate history, first in the division I era, while his 64 assists are tied for sixth.
Colleluori, a two-time all-Patriot League selection, posted a career high 51 points with 38 goals and 13 assists. His 51 points in 14 games placed him seventh in the nation in scoring with 3.64 points per game, while he finished fifth in goals per game with 2.71. He finishes his career with 129 points off 103 goals and 26 assists. His 103 goals rank fifth all-time in Colgate history, while his 129 points are 10th. Colleluori also led the Colgate attackers with 31 groundballs and finished his career with 110 pick-ups.
Watkins, a two-time captain of the Raiders close defense finished the season with 22 groundballs and forced seven turnovers. He also scored his first career goal this season in a win over Lehigh. Watkins finished his career with 61 groundballs.
