Raiders Finish Fourth at Cornell Upstate Challenge

- The Colgate men's track & field team finished fourth with 45 points at the Cornell Upstate Challenge at Barton Hall on Saturday.

The Raiders scored strong in the distance events led by sophomore Dan Gleason (Norwalk, Conn.) who took second in the 3,000-meter run with a personal-best 8:44.39, while classmate Ed Boulat (Larchmont, N.Y.) placed second in the mile with a personal-record 4:23.93. Ed Sheridan (Phillipsburg, N.J.) who finished fourth with a PR of 4:26.67 followed Boulat.

Continuing in the distance events Jeremy Fisher (Fredericksburg, Va.) placed fourth in the 1000-meter run with a time of 2:34.46, while Andy Smith (York, Pa.) finished sixth 2:38.07.

Graham Tooker (Devon, Pa.) headlined the sprinting events with a 1:06.66 in the 500-meter dash, while Gus Hobbs (New Canaan, Conn.) finished sixth 1:08.13.

The Raiders will stay home next week as they host the Class of ’32 Invitational Saturday, January 30.
