Colgate Hockey Games To Be Aired in NYC

HAMILTON, N.Y. (1/26/2010) – As Colgate men’s hockey readies for an important ECAC Hockey weekend as it hosts its rivals from the North Country in Clarkson and St. Lawrence, the scheduled live television broadcasts can been seen out of the traditional Syracuse/Albany/Rochester Area.
Fans can watch both games live from Starr Rink either on Time Warner Cable Sports out of Syracuse (channel 26) or Time Warner Cable channel 198 out of New York City. This weekend’s hockey broadcasts could be viewed by an additional 1.5 million subscribers with the addition of the New York City market.
Including the two games this weekend versus the Golden Knights and the Saints, more than half of Colgate’s remaining 11 regular-season games will be televised. The Raiders’ other dates on Time Warner Cable include games with Yale (Feb. 12), Cornell (Feb. 16), and Rensselaer (Feb. 26). The NHL Network will also carry the game with the Engineers live on the 26th. Colgate’s road clash at Quinnipiac (Feb. 6) will be broadcasted over CBS College Sports. Opening face-off has been moved from the originally slated 7 p.m. start to 8 p.m. to accommodate the broadcast from the T.D. Bank Sports Center.
