The Colgate men’s swimming and diving teams will host their final regular-season meet of the year as Army and Lafayette come to Hamilton for a tri-meet. Prior to the opening event, eight graduating seniors will be recognized for their hard work and dedication to the swimming & diving program. The Raider women will be looking to finish the regular-season at 8-3 with a pair of victories over the Black Knights and the Leopards. Two more wins would stretch Colgate’s home win streak to 13 at Lineberry. The Colgate men, 0-8 on the year, will be in search of their first win of the season.

LAST WEEK RECAP
The Raiders dropped a pair of decisions to Binghamton (197-103) and Massachusetts (182-106) last Saturday and Sunday. Colgate claimed two firsts against the Bearcats. Costas Hadjipateras won the 200 fly with a winning time of 1:59.67 and then teamed with Robert Rutkowski, Cameron Voell and Tucker Gniewek to swim a winning time of 1:27.76 in the 200 free relay. The Raiders posted 10 second place finishes against Binghamton, two each by Devon Healy, Dan Sweeney, and Gniewek.
Hadjipateras and Gniewek were double winners in the loss to the Minutemen. Hadjipateras won the 100 fly (53.13) and combined with Sweeney, Gniewek and Rutkowski to claim the 400 free relay (3:10.40). Hadjipateras missed out on a third victory in the 200 fly by .14 seconds. Gniewek won the 100 free (47.86), while Devon Healy copped the 200 IM (1:59.62)
LAST YEAR VERSUS ARMY/LAFAYETTE
Colgate ended the regular season by splitting a pair of decisions in West Point. The Raiders downed Lafayette 191-100, but fell to Army 185-102. Casey Powers and George Bennitt took the top two places in the 200 IM, while Powers (2nd in the 200 fly), Devon Healy (2nd in 200 breast), Dan Pulitano (3rd in the 200 back) all posted top three efforts in races in which everyone had at least one entrant swimming for team points. Colgate took the top two spots in the 400 free relay versus Lafayette to send the meet.

Colgate posted a pair of victories over Binghamton (166.5-131.5) and Massachusetts (189-110). In the victory over the Bearcats on Saturday, Erica Derlath, Kim Siembieda, and Kim Pilka were all double winners. Colgate claimed 10 firsts and took the top two places in four races. The foursome of Erin McGraw, Lia Kunnapas, Caren Guyett and Siembieda broke the Patricia A. Saunders Aquatic Center record in the 200 free relay with a 1:37.62. Lafayette held the former mark at 1:38.86.
In the victory over the Minutewomen, McGraw was a quadruple winner and Guyett, Siembieda and Emma Santoro were triple winners. Colgate captured 12 first place efforts; finished first and second in three events, while sweeping the top three spots in three more races. Colgate’s team of Kunnapas, Santoro, Ryan Marynowski and Christy Butrus broke the school’s freshman record in the 400 medley relay (4:01.20). Guyett nearly took down the Lineberry record that has stood for nearly a decade. The junior won the 500 free with a time of 5:01.92, missing the standard by .5 seconds.

Colgate picked up a 188-96 victory over Army and a 191-100 win over Lafayette in the tri-meet. Emily Murphy, Erin McGraw and Ashley Bottger were all triple winners. The Raiders claimed the top two places in six events and swept the top three spots in three more.
