SAAC to Set-Up Donations in Aiding Hope for Haiti

HAMILTON, N.Y. (1/27/10) - The Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC) will show their support for the relief efforts in Haiti by setting up donation stands at all home athletic events this Saturday, in conjunction with Colgate’s Hope for Haiti Benefit Concert.
 
The Hope for Haiti Benefit Concert will take place this Saturday, Jan. 30th at 6 p.m. in the Colgate University Chapel. Tickets are a minimum $5 donation with all funds being split between the following relief organizations: Doctors Without Borders, Partners in Health and the American Red Cross.
 
Family, friends and fans that plan on attending Saturday’s athletic events, but still wish to aid the devastated communities of Haiti are reminded to look for one of the several donation stands set-up outside each event area. Donation stands can be found at:

SAAC is a nationally recognized group made-up entirely by student-athletes. It discusses the issues that affect student-athletes’ lives and works to engage athletes through activities both at Colgate and in the community.
