HAMILTON, N.Y. (2/2/10) - Head women’s soccer coach Kathy Brawn has released the 2010 spring schedule, it was announced on Thursday, Jan. 21. The Raiders will play in two Invitational’s as well as three home games.
The women will open their spring slate on March 28, hosting in-state opponent St. Bonaventure at 1 p.m. The Raiders will then take part in the one-day, seven-team, Albany Invitational on April 10. Game times are scheduled from 10 a.m. through 3 p.m. at Albany University. Other participating teams include Syracuse, Brown, Albany, Vermont, St. Bonaventure and St. Rose. The Raiders will travel to take on Monmouth on April 11 at 1 p.m. in West Long Branch, N.J.
Colgate will close out spring play at home, hosting one game as well as the Colgate Invitational. The Raiders will first face fellow Patriot League opponent Army on Saturday, April 17 at 2 p.m. The Colgate Invitational will take place on Saturday, April 24 from 10 a.m. till 5 p.m. The three-team tournament consists of Colgate, Syracuse and Boston University.
The Colgate women’s soccer team won the 2009 Patriot League Tournament, after defeating Navy, 1-0, in the semifinals and American, 1-0, in double overtime for the title. The Raiders advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2004, where they fell to Penn State.
