CENTER VALLEY, Pa. (4/28/10) - Two members of the Colgate women’s crew team earned Patriot League honors, as announced by the League office on Wednesday, April 28. The Raiders earned two All-League spots after finishing fourth overall at the Patriot League Championships last weekend.
The composition of the All-League rowing team is determined by the team’s finish in the varsity eight race at the Patriot League Championship. This year’s finish order was Bucknell, Navy, Colgate, MIT, Holy Cross and Lehigh.
Colgate senior Lauren Schmetterling (Moorestown, N.J.) made her first appearance on an All-League team earning First-Team honors. Classmate Vicky Hulit (Rye, N.Y.) was named to an All-League team for the second time earning Second-Team recognition.
Both Colgate selections row in the varsity eight boat, which claimed a third-place finish at the Patriot League Championships last weekend. The boat crossed the line just nine seconds after first-place team Bucknell.
