14 Colgate Teams Honored By NCAA For APR

HAMILTON, N.Y. (5/12/10) - Fourteen Colgate University athletic teams have been honored by the NCAA WITH A PUBLIC RECOGNITION AWARD for their latest Academic Progress Rate scores.
They are football, men's basketball, men’s ice hockey, men's golf, men's lacrosse, men's soccer, men's indoor track and field, men's outdoor track and field, women's cross country, women's softball, women's swimming and diving, women's indoor track and field, women's outdoor track and field and women's volleyball.
These teams posted multi-year APR scores in the top 10 percent of all squads in their respective sports. High-performing teams receiving awards posted APR scores ranging from 978 to a perfect 1,000. The public recognition awards are part of the broad Division I academic reform effort.
The Patriot League, of which Colgate is a member, had the second highest number of teams receiving awards with 82, trailing only the Ivy League.
