SANTA CLARITA, Calif. (7/23/10) - Colgate junior Costas Hadjipateras (New Canaan, Conn.) of the men’s swimming and diving team finished second Thursday, in the 200-meter butterfly at the Speedo Champions Series meet in Santa Clarita, Calif.

Hadjipateras swam a time of 2:04.00 to finish second out of 108 competing in the event. His time qualified him for the ConocoPhillips National Championships that will be held in Irvine, Calf., on Aug 3-7.

Hadjipateras also finished 15th in the 100-meter freestyle and is scheduled to swim the 200-meter freestyle and 100-meter butterfly this weekend.
