Lalli, Biggar Tabbed as Patriot League Weekly Award Winners
FHvsRMU
#35 Kirsten Lalli
HAMILTON, NY (8/30/10) – Senior captain and goalkeeper Kirsten Lalli (Pound Ridge, N.Y.) and freshman Halle Biggar (Pepper Pike, Ohio) were both selected as weekly award winners by the Patriot League after a shutout win over Robert Morris on Saturday.

Lalli was named the Patriot League Goalie of the Week after her first collegiate shutout with four saves in the 5-0 win over the Colonials. She helped the Raiders to its largest margin of victory since shutting out Bryant back in 2008 with another 5-0 win. Lalli was starting her first ever season opener for Colgate and she became the first Raider goalie to earn the weekly honor since Sarah Pederson in 2008.

Biggar had an incredible start to her Colgate career with a pair of goals in her first collegiate game and was named rookie of the week. She netted the first two goals of the season, including the first coming just 1:24 minutes into the game on Saturday. Biggar then added her second of the game with a nice reverse shot from inside the circle.

Senior Laura Denenga (Harare, Zimbabwe) was put on the honor roll after her two-goal effort in the win over the Colonials. She and Biggar are tied at the top of the scoring list for Colgate with four points each.

The Raiders hit the field again today with a 7 p.m. start against Northwestern, who is coming off a weekend split with No. 8 Syracuse and Northeastern.
