Soccer Game Central
HAMILTON, N.Y. (9/8/10) – The Colgate men’s soccer team will continue its season on the road this weekend when it faces Siena on Friday, Sept. 10 in Loudonville, N.Y. and then Albany on Sunday, Sept. 12 in Albany, N.Y.
The Raiders (1-0-1) opened their season last weekend at the Lafayette Classic in Easton, Pa. Colgate placed second overall in the tournament with a 0-0 draw against Temple and a 2-1 win against Stony Brook. Senior defender

Steven Miller (Ivyland, Pa.) and junior defender
Mike Reese (Wallingford, Pa.) were All-Tournament team selections. Miller had a goal and an assist at the tournament and now leads the team in points with three.
OVERTIME MANIA
The Raiders’ first two games of the season have both ended in overtime. The first was a 0-0 double-overtime draw against Temple on Friday and the second, a 2-1 double-overtime win against Stony Brook on Sunday.
STATISTIC LEADERS
Leach currently leads the Patriot League in shots (8) and shots per game with four. He was also named the Preseason Defensive Player of the Year by the league at the beginning of the season.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Grant Reed (Petoskey, Mich.) leads the league in goals against average (0.41), is tied for first in shutouts (1) and is third in save percentage (.889).
SCOUTING SIENA
The Saints (1-1) are coming off a 5-1 win against Syracuse and a 2-1 loss to Sacred Heart last weekend. Siena returns sophomore forward Emery Welshman who was the 2009 MAAC Rookie of the Year. He already leads the team with five points off of two goals and an assist against Syracuse.
Colgate leads the all-time series against the Saints 11-0-1, winning the last meeting 2-1 in 2009.
SCOUTING ALBANY
The Great Danes (2-0) are on a two-game winning streak with wins over Fairfield and St. Francis last week. Albany returns sophomore goalkeeper Adrian Foncette who led the America East with 6.56 saves per game last season. He already has 15 saves, nine of which were against Fairfield last week.
Colgate leads the all-time series 6-1-1 with a 3-1 win over the Danes during their last meeting in 2009.
