Patriot League Semifinal vs. Navy Game Notes

Colgate advances to the Patriot League Championship for the second consecutive season and the second time in program history. It will be Bucknell’s first appearance in the championship game.

Colgate and Bucknell met in the Patriot League Tournament for the first time last season with the Raiders winning 11-10.

This marks the first time Navy has not advanced to the Patriot League Championship. The Midshipmen have won all four of the Patriot League Tournament titles. Navy has lost three Patriot League games in the past three years, with two of them coming against Colgate.

Brandon Corp’s five goals against Navy is a career-high and ties the Patriot League Tournament single game record. He also holds the record for points in game with seven (4-3) against Bucknell in the semifinals in 2007.

Brandon Corp’s five goals pushes his season total to 35, which ranks sixth all-time in Colgate single season history. He had 32 in 2007, which is seventh all-time.

Colgate’s 12 goals against Navy tied the most the Midshipmen had allowed all season. Navy also gave up 12 in the loss to Johns Hopkins.

Colgate is on a five-game win streak during which it is holding opponents to just 6.42 goals per game and scoring 10.42 goals per game.

Senior Matt Lalli had five points (2-3) to move into a tie for third on the Colgate career points list. His 171 points ties Rob Lowe for the third spot. His two goals push him to a tie for eighth on the career goals list with 2007 graduate Brendan Hurley.
